For some reason peoples parents are always killed be firebenders in the Avatar universe. They make it seem like Fire is the only dangerous element.

If a Waterbender wanted to kill somebody they have a lot of options: They can Drown You , Freezing You, or Take all the liquid out of your body…

i understand this but people have to think of the nature of fire and how society sees it as, not as how we saw it through ran and shao. fire destroys, burns, kills, blackens. and its not like the firebenders were the only bad guys. The thugs from the episode Zuko’s Alone, the Dai Li, the Blood Bender from the third season, and even as recent as the bending triad from the first season. There have been examples of good and evil of nearly all the elements with the exception of air.
